I did for a very long time, in a video game chain. People only noticed my vision when I had to read things up close or find something they were pointing at. It was always fun when someone said “what are you, blind?” And I’d pull my cane from under the counter and say “actually yes, and?” That embarrassment sold a lot of extended warranties.

I worked retail in my 20s and before I started using a cane, which made my visual impairment invisible, no one treated me differently.

I worked at a build a bear (pretty alright if you can sew!) and currently a restaurant dishwasher! The second started at $15 but build a bear was $9.25.

I used to do dishwashing. Had to quit though, killed my back. Then I threw out my back even more doing yardwork, And after surgery, I can't stand for hours anymore lol.

I owned a PC repair shop for a while that had a small retail section. Otherwise my job history is software development, and before that, EMS dispatching.
