It probably seems bizarre that r/blind doesn't allow surveys, especially considering yours, like most, is part of an attempt to *help* us. I get it. But please understand this is a place we go to for understanding and learning and sometimes venting about our conditions. We're mostly here seeking community and inclusion, not to answer questions. Loss of vision comes with a psychological cost most of us weren't ready for and r/blind is in some ways our informal, collective self help group. That's why some of us have no desire to see surveys from outsiders. This is our pillow fort or our tree house and we protect it.

It's a case where both parties have good intentions but those intentions conflict with each other. I hope you understand.
