How can the person that I'm talking to in a Zoom call not be able to hear my NVDA? (self.Blind)
submitted by Evening-Influence-85
So I have this dilemma about my NVDA. Would it be possible that the person that I'm talking to wouldn't hear that NVDA while my audio is on? Because whenever my mic is on, they can hear my NVDA talking in the background. Any tips on how to fix this? Would appreciate it.

Use headphones so the mic doesn’t pick up sounds from the computer speakers. That way, it shouldn’t pick up NVDA any more.

If you got a gaming headset, or any headset with a mic that might fix it.

Go to settings and increase the advance settings to the highest settings. There is a setting for reducing background noise. They give examples such as fan and keyboard noise .

I use my NVDA with braille only while working. Not because they can hear it--they can't--but so I can hear them. That said, if you have a headset with mic, there's really not a lot you can do about it. Maybe turn NVDA down.

DO you need NVDA to be running while on your Zoom call? If not, you could always temporarily disable speech. Using a bluetooth headset is also another possibility.
