Does anyone use a digital voice recorder? (self.Blind)
submitted by yoyo2718
Does anyone use a digital voice recorder? I know I can just use my cell phone, but I’d rather have a separate device. I’m looking for something fully accessible without having to look at a screen to find my files. I’m not particularly fussed about whether there’s some sort of folder system or whether I just skip between various recordings. A folder system might be easier, but only if it is navigable nonvisually. Does anyone have suggestions? I don’t need tons of recording time, a few hours should be fine, though of course more is better.

Some of our clients like the Wilson:

It is specifically designed to be used by the blind; no folders, nothing that you have to see.

Cheaper than expensive Mic setups with people like Olympus, the$1 seems popular with students I've met

I've no devices to recommend, but I'm here to say to avoid the Victor Reader Stream. It's painfully slow.
