Registration at audiogames.net? (self.Blind)
submitted by Fridux
I've recently been made aware of a thread about one of my projects at the audiogames.net forum, but unfortunately I don't have an account and cannot register a new one to post there at the moment since, according to a notice on the site, registrations are disabled because the forum was spammed, and the alternative registration link doesn't work either. Does anyone know how long registrations have been unavailable, or whether I can hope to be able to create an account soon?

I wish I had better info, but as far as I know registrations have been down for at least two weeks. May I ask which project you're referring to? I might at least be able to put in a word on your behalf.

Vimp, the World of Warcraft screen-reader add-on mentioned in $1.

Thanks!

Hey,

Oh yes, I grabbed a copy of that and have been playing around with it. Is there anything in particular you'd like me to say? Speaking personally I'm fascinated by the possibilities.

Yes, I found $1 where that subject is being discussed. Could you warn one of the admins posting there about the broken alternative registration link? Thanks again!

I posted a comment in that thread asking for an updated timeline. I'm sorry for the frustration. Truthfully, AudioGames has been kind of rickety for a while now, but there's no where else with as much reach n our small community I'm aware of.

For /u/Fridux, for the time being you can apparently email admin at audiogames dot net with your desired username, and they will manually register you. I'm sorry this continues to be an issue but I look forward to discussing your add-on.

Thank you!

It looks like the temporary registration process is back up, for anyone interested. THe forum as a whole is still in a kind of precarious state, but there’s a lot of value in it.

The site hasn't been working for me either. I was pointed that way since I do audio descriptions for video games on YouTube, but haven't been able to apply to join the site.

That community isn't really worth your time anyway. With the webmasters absent, it is a couple of errors away from going down.
