I shared 8 weeks ago I had an F in Braille for VRTs class. After hard work, dedication, and a 50 point extra credit assignment. . . I have full marks and an A!

I tried to feel a braille book once but my fingers are too numb. So I’m honestly really proud and impressed by your accomplishment! Have you read any strange sentences while learning? At a hearing test one of the sentences I had to repeat back was “the boy fell out the window“and I was like… Is he OK? I made the teacher laugh lol

Thanks, I’m still working on tactile reading, it is a SLOW process. We used the Ashcroft method so lots of strange sentences, especially at the beginnin, because they don’t give you any words or phrases that would use an uncontracted version of a contracted word or phrase you’ll learn later. Now I read stuff and I think “Why do they keep using mom or dad, mother or father is one less cell?!?””
