It's normal. Everyone does.

This is not a "being blind" thing. It's a "being human" thing. All humans do this to some degree. I swear to myself a lot, but that's more of a "being a software developer" thing LOL.

The only time I talk aloud to myself is when I'm in a noisy environment and trying to concentrate. Somehow hearing my own voice narrate the situation brings it into focus. I used to do it quite often back in college, trying to work out a particularly nasty math problem.
