When COVID was still pretty bad, my team did some virtual O&M training. It worked out for learning some basic skills (indoor skills, how far to scan, practicing trailing in hallways).
But there are many factors at play. I was working with one client over Facetime, for using the hallways and elevator in his building. But his connection was poor, and his phone had a tendency to disconnect in the area he was getting confused with.
There are also countless times, during a video chat, I would be looking at someone's ear rather than the sidewalk where they are walking. Or the camera would be pointed to the sky.

This happened to me last year and was very frustrating. I found virtual instruction confusing and not very helpful and gave it up as not worth my time and energy until I could receive in person instruction. I wonder if you reached out to the NFB if they would be able to help. Might be worth a try.
