Learning to use voiceover for the iPhone?(self.Blind)
submitted by BlindWizard
So it has recently been confirmed to me that eventually somewhere down the road we will have to remove my remaining eye. I have retinopathy of prematurity stage four as well as Cataracs. Surgery to remove the cataracts is not an option. I have already had my left eye removed due to retinal detachment last year in December. And my retina specialist has confirmed that eventually down the line the other retina will detach and we will have to remove it or the Cataracs will get bad enough that there will be no remaining light or color perception possibly. I am a full-time cane user already. But I am wanting to get better at using voiceover and navigation on my phone. Does anyone know the best place to learn this? I currently have an iPhone 7 Plus but will be updating probably somewhere around the end of the year.

Assuming your flair is accurate, your state agency can also help a lot. I was offered iPhone training from home and also had some training while at an independent living center they sent me to.

There is a built in voiceover practice tool within your iPhone. You can ask Siri to open it for you
