NVDA tutor available? (self.Blind)
submitted by mt1rdt
Hi all. I’m trying to set up NVDA for a family member and it’s a little bit intimidating. Lots of options and what seems to be lots of work to get it running the way we’d like it to run.

Is anyone who has experience with this software available for a tutor/help session? We could use something like Skype or join.me to connect. Of course I would pay you for your time and support.

Thank you!

If you live in a good sized city there's probably a NFB or Lighthouse or an O&M team that can teach you in person free of charge. You can find out what free resources are in your local area with a quick phone call to your family member's optometrist.

I've seen a few mentions here in r/Blind of YouTube tutorials for NVDA but I've never tried them.

Late to the party but I'd be willing to teach anyone how to use their screen reader :) Same goes for things like programming and the use of specialized applications and such :)

Sure, I'll help. I'm bassed in the UK though, is that ok? If you can pm me and let me know what you'd like to do; we can go from there.

If you still needing help, I can do it, for sure :). I did a course last year about the use, and maybe I can translate the support pdf to english if you want! (the material is authorized to be translated).
