How do you know when the water is simmering? (self.Blind)
submitted by Mamamagpie
I like tea. I usually make herbal tea, which is not picky about how hot the water is. Green tea is picky. I usually use a whistling kettle to boil water for tea. Does anyone know how to determine you have reached simmer?

I have an electric kettle which allows me to select the temp. Not sure if it's an option for you but it's very useful.

I also like tea. But I just use hot water from a Keurig. That way it's pre measured and what not.

Ikea has a food thermometer that you can set the temp you want it to beep at
