Question for people with NLP or only LP (self.Blind)
submitted by Iamheno
I am in graduate school now for Vision Rehabilitation Therapy, and I have RP with legal blindness resulting. Anyways, I am working on a Braille literacy teaching unit where my case study is a high school teen girl, who knows Grade 1 & 2 Braille, but needs more fluency in it. I am assuming like most teen girls she desires privacy and independence especially from her parents, so lesson one I want to teach using theSamsung Braille keyboard for her phone so she can text friends and/or romantic interests which got me thinking. As a person who can’t see, with your eyes, other people what attracts you to them, and how important are looks to you? Obviously everyone is different and I’ve found the best answer in rehab therapy is”It depends. . . “ but give me your 2 cents!

This post sounds wierd. You'll end up getting in trouble if you are actually going ahead with this kind of project.
Developing Braille fluency by encouraging communication with romantic interests without parental permission, is what can be concluded from what you wrote.
The second half of the post is not related to fluency, and it should not be part of your instruction as a studen teacher.

Sorry yeah I’m not encouraging that it’s texting her friends and parents.

The second part has nothing to do with braille literacy at all, it’s a seperate question. Having nothing to do with braille or any particular person. more wondering what people with no vision find attractive in others. I’m trying to figure out how other peoples minds work,

I’m not doing student teaching this is just a unit project.
