I have retinopathy - though from a different cause, but what you're describing sounds like a normal thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue\_field\_entoptic\_phenomenon

I have it. First symptoms were lightning strikes in my vision, followed by noticing a blind spot when when eye was closed and I moved my hand around. I’d say if you don’t have a noticeable blind spot you either don’t have it, or it’s super early stages.

I have seen to retina specialist and yes I have had a visual field ..spectral domain octs....fixing to see neuro opthalmologist....i have no blind spots my peripheral is good my night vision is good and day light doesn't really bother maybe just a tad if its a super bright day and my eyes are super dry to...my main symptoms are floaters blurry vision though glasses correct it back to 20 20 and static like film....my earliest symptoms where the floaters and blurred vision...did u experience floaters in the beginning

It doesn’t sound like you have autoimmune retinopathy, and if glasses correct it then it sounds like it might be the cornea, though I’m no specialist clearly. I’m on prednisolone and mycophenolate. The static maybe sounds like visual snow, which might well be neurological in nature (again, I’m no specialist, but I’ve read up a lot on all this stuff given my condition)

And what did they give u to stabilize vision
Otherwise_Computer79 [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Did ur vision get blurry at first or was it just blind spot ...if ur vision did get blurry at first could glasses or pinhole improve also did u see static and did u see anything weird against the sky such as particles or cells ...did u wake up like that over night and how fast did it progress...and was one of ur earliest symptoms floaters....I hate to be annoying but I am dying to know as no one can figure me out ...thank u so much for replying it means everything to me

It didn’t get blurry, and glasses didn’t make a difference to symptoms. It was the lightning in my vision which was where the blind spot developed. I also struggled with bright lights as they hurt my eyes, and my eyes got very dry and red, especially first thing in the morning.

It started randomly one day, and it progressed rapidly. I’m lucky that it appears to have stabilised with treatment, without a significant impact on daily life. There is always a risk that it starts to progress again though.

When I look at the sky I sometimes get random black spots for a few seconds, but then they disappear.

Who have you seen about it? Have you had an Optus photo of the retina taken, and done a visual field test?
