Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there any way to download a Bookshare book in audio format with the app, or do you have to do it via the website? (self.Blind)

I want to get back into reading books on Bookshare so that I have a more wide selection of books to choose from, but I'm spoiled by the audio books on BARD. I know there's a way to download the Bookshare books in audio instead of Braille, but can you do that with the app? And if so, how? Or do you just have to use the website? And if you have to use the website, can you do it with an iPhone?
Also, do you have to pay for Bookshare after college?

I'm not sure which app you're referring to.

If you have access to VoiceDream Reader, which is an excellent app in general, you can download your Bookshare books in that app and treat them more or less like audiobooks with fancier navigation.

I'm not sure what you expect from a Bookshare audiobook, but it won't have a human narrator like Bard in any case.

You do need to pay $50 per year after you finish school, yes.

Some states’ NLS branches are starting to pay for subscriptions!

Oh yeah, I meant Voice Dream Reader, sorry. I actually prefer the computer voice that you get when you download the audio format of a Bookshare book to the voice options in Voice Dream reader, so I was wondering if you could download that format with Voice Dream.

You can buy the Kendra voice in Voice Dream Reader, so you can use it to read content other than Bookshare books.

Free Kindle app has many books, some, free, mostly inexpensive, many with audible choice which is more often free or less expensive than the written version .You can sign up for Kindle Unlimited pretty inexpensively and pay much less for books there because you signed up.2 free Kindle apps,in playstore. One is for Android specifically.I think Kindle helped me retain my sanity during Covid quarantining, although I still miss my cardio walks.
