Hi friend! Sounds like you have micropthalmia as well. It's definitely a pretty cool thing how the small eye still has motor function, even when there's little to no sensory function.

I do have one eye that’s slightly smaller than the other but there is no huge difference. If I do not tell people that I’m blind in my right eye, they cannot tell.

Thank you for the information. My mother’s never told me this growing up, she’s only referred to it as a lazy eye. I am very interested in knowing more about others blindness as well though, so feel free to message me if you’d like.

Ahh, okay, maybe you might not have micropthalmia then? The condition just means small eye, usually partially or fully blind, but the eye is normally pretty small compared to normal. Yea, I'd be more than happy to talk about shared experiences! I'll dm you.

I was born premature and suffered retinopathy of prematurity. I have never had sight in my left eye. I'm total now, no light perception, but I had sight in my right eye until about 11 years ago.

My perception still sits in my right eye and while the left is... well nothing at all, no input to the brain, my right still has the brain trying to add input. Mostly fields of color, right now is a pale orange, but it can be any color except purples it seems like. I have no light perception but the brain just provides this random and annoyingly bright field of color.

It is cool experiencing both but it is impossible to describe what just isn't there in the case of that left eye.
