Update (self.Blind)
submitted by Tinypanda20
Got diagnosed with nightblindess, and Because apparently my eyes are longer I have flashers and floaters that will worsen over time but that they can’t do much about. If they worsen too quickly I need to go to the eye doc asap because that could indicate a tear in my retina. I have decorated my cane ( while still leaving it visible) and my parents finally will let me use it in dim lighting. Im not going day blind luckily and just need to learn to adjust to night blindness. Thankyou all for listening to me and giving me advice these past months :)

Night blindness isn't a diagnosis, it is a symptom. A symptom that is commonly associated with many eye conditions, of which many of those are progressive. You definitely want to see an eye doctor to find out the underlying cause.

Ummm, nightblindness, plus floaters and flashes can be indicatI’ve of retinitis Pigmentosa. You may want to get a visual fields and genetic testing done. I recently learned there’s a computer in the US brining to market a gene therapy for XLRP on the RPGR gene that can halt degeneration.

I'm happy you can use your cane now. I hope it makes you safer and that you feel after!
