The tip of my cane is a slip on. It is really suck on there. A student of mine tried to help and ended up pulling the actual marshmallow off, but not the actual tip. Any idea how to get the damn thing off? I do not have a vice.
Thank you!

How do I more easily remove a Slip-on tip from my cane?
Slip-on tips are designed to fit tightly so as not to fall off the cane. We suggest using something that will grip the cane and tip firmly such as locking pliers or a vice. Applying heat from a gentle heat source such as hot water or a hairdryer may make it easier to remove the tip
Ambutech suggests this.

Maybe heat it with a blow dryer? Can you find anything on YouTube? Handy neighbor with vice grip plies or a vise?

Stick it in the freezer for a few hours. The materials may contract away from one another when they get cold.

That won’t damage the cane?

I wouldn't think so, as long as you're careful with it after that until it warms back up. All of the materials are temperature safe well below what a home freezer would get. Some plastic might be a bit more brittle, hence, being careful and letting it warm up.
But that's just my opinion based on some quick internet research.
