Happy New Year (self.Blind)

Dear friends,
I know this was a difficult year for many of us. I just wanted to take the time to say...happy new year, blind friends, and happy new year to sighted loved ones and supporters.
I also wanted to say, if you're alone this new year, or if you're feeling down, there are likely to be better times ahead, and I, and many of us, are thinking of you. You're a part of this community, even if community feels hard to come by right at the end of 2021.
Warm wishes to you all, and I look forward to interacting with you all in 2022.

I would say something clever and up beat but I spent much of last night testing my limits with cheap crappy irish cream liqueur. So, I will need to spend the next hour or so over here in the corner, curled up in a foetal position and making occasional desperate groaning noises.
