Giving credit to AD voice actors (self.Blind)

It bothers me so much when they don’t give credit to the voice actors who do the audio descriptions for a movie or show. I want to know who did the descriptions for Netflix’s daredevil and breaking bad. Because both people did a good job!!! But when I look it up, no such luck! It seams sad to me that they don’t get any recognition😔

The rules about credits keep changing, so you may hear more of them in the future. Until then, I recommend the ADNA website as a source of information. If you watched it on Netflix, the writer was Darla and the narrator was Dianne Newman - the company I work for did that version.

I’ll second this, Apple TV+ has great describers who don’t get named at end of episodes. On the other hand, our Irish broadcaster RTÉ always gives credit. At the end of a show, the describer always says “audio described by XXX for RTÉ”. I think that’s good practice.

Seriously! They should get credit for their work just like everyone else!!! It seams criminal to not give credit to them and their work!!! That’s cool about RTE
