I assume you mean written communication--blind people can talk and hear, after all.
Braille is an option, but not that many blind people know it. Also, braille is expensive to use--electronic displays start at $600, and that's considered cheap, while braille paper for hand-written braille costs more than printer paper. Instead of braille, most blind people will use the same technology you would. Phones, computers, even some smart watches can all produce synthesized speech. Thus, emails, texts, social media messages, and other common forms of communication are all commonplace. After all, why would I write out something in braille just because the recipient is blind, when I can much more easily send a text?
