Audio Description Movies Help! (self.Blind)
submitted by ForceR-1356
So outside of your standard Netflix or Hulu or any of the other popular streaming apps, does anyone know where to find an audio description version of Fantastic Beasts or Harry Potter? I tried Peacock, but the audio description feature is not available for those films.

They're on HBO Max.

In future, try https://adp.acb.org/findavideo.html to see where in the U.S. you can access content with audio description.

This option is freeright?

it is, but only has the audio.
I find it odd that, given so few blind people are totally blind, an audio-only offerring is so pomular.
I guess beggers can't be choosers...

I think the idea there is to sync the audio from the website with the stream or DVD or whatever of the movie.

It never works out for me somehow. The frame rates might be different across countries, or certainly in the UK a lot of the AD stuff is taken from broadcasts with ads. I spend a lot of time fiddling with the playback speed of my audio to keep things in sync. It's doable but rarely enjoyable, you know?
