I have a friend who used to get a deal from Road Runner for $10 or $20 internet, but after spectrum purchased Road Runner that price has gone up to over $120.
He also doesn't have a cell phone or really anything beyond TV/internet/home phone. He says he has applied to things but continues to get denied for various programs. I'm unsure if he just doesn't know how to apply, how to follow up? Or just needs assistance.
He says he is on SNAP (or maybe was on SNAP?) and on SSI with an income of under $14,000/year.
I'm going into this question likely missing a lot of information and mostly looking for things that he might be able to apply for to help him. Even if there were resources he could contact to help walk him through this? An advocate or similar that could help him follow up on applications and knowing where to apply?
Things I'm thinking: Lifeline The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
He lives in NYS, and has a side "business" fixing bicycles, where he profits about $120/year (it keeps him busy and gets people to visit to he 100% will not give up his business).

Have they contacted the NYS Commission for the blind?
