Good / bad sight days? (self.Blind)
submitted by DHamlinMusic
As the title says, anyone else have these? Couldn't find any previous discussions related to this when I searched.

Absolutely!! For me, it’s more vision fatigue than anything else.
Cold weather really does me dirty and I can’t really open my eyes much Bc of pain.

Yeah my vision goes from some days it's like it there's a thick layer of charcoal smoke over everything that cuts any distance I have to begin with significantly and mutes the colors I can perceive dramatically, those are the worst days, 2 days like today where everything is glassy and sort of crisp looking but I still only have a couple feet of distance at best but there's minimal distortions which is nice. Most of the time my vision is moderate distortion around the peripheral with lights and colors and tracking of movements and objects with limited fine detail while the central area where I am focused towards is medium gray haze with some perception of objects moving near my face but only in the Vegas sense of a shadow moving across the different shadow.

For me my actual vision doesn’t change but some days I am too tired to deal with things

Definitely. If I’m sick, tired or really stressed everything is just that much less clear and dimmer. We have one of those ring thermostats and sometimes I can actually get right up on it, squint a bit and make out the displayed temperature. Other times, it’s just a blur

ALL THE TIME. I wake up sometimes and am like “well shit I can’t see that at all.” I usually notice the bad days but never the good ones.

Yeah. I call them "Bad Eye Days" - I describe them as "like a Bad Hair Day, just a few inches lower".

For me, it's related to everything from stress to weather to how hydrated I am to how much sleep I got.

Yes, I totally have days when I feel like I see better on some days rather than others. I have no idea why. But I do have that experience.

I definitely notice a difference depending on the weather and if I’m feeling stressed.
codeplaysleep 1 points 1y ago
Definitely! Mostly it comes down to how much sleep I've had.

Also, if I really concentrate and focus I can summon a bit more functional vision, but it comes at a great cost. Even doing this for 5 to 10 minutes will result in a massive headache the next morning. It’s kind of like that Eleven character from Stranger Things, LOL. Whenever she uses her superpowers her nose bleeds and it drains her of her energy
