Working for conduent as a blind individual? (self.Blind)
submitted by Arlenna1
I knew someone who was hired through them and he said it was easy work. I just received an interview date and I'm so nervous. Has anyone ever worked for them, what was it like and how well were they about accommodations?

my question, would be what screen reader are you going to be using? For the job. Which position, were you hired for.

I was hired for the fraud customer service position. I was offered the job but once I asked for accommodations they went quiet on me. No one is returning any of my emails. I'm not sure if they will email back now, so for that not sure what screen reader I would be using if they do. I am good with either NVDA or Jaws.

OK, let me ask you this question how long has it been since they have gotten the request for the accommodation? Also, have they told you anything about the software that is be going to be used. Another question is, have you talked to your Volk rehab, or your commission for the blind to have them help you get the accommodations, that you need. Let me know, I have worked, a bit with Conduent, in a different position though. But let me know what else is going on. I am here to help you.

Ok so I am not affiliated with voc anymore, I also can't open a case anymore. So that is out of the question. I asked during my interview for accommodations and I was told she would call me back shortly. She never did, I wrote an email out to her and no response. It's been since Tuesday of my interview. I did get the link for the job offer but haven't signed it yet because not sure if I can take the job at this point.

OK, tell you want; send me a private message, and let’s figure out a way we can talk about this off Reddit.
