Edited because I have realised that this isn't a post seeking help, it's seeking validation. No, I don't believe that it is a disability or would qualify for being considered legally blind. Yes, I believe that it can be impacted by anxiety, and yes I believe that people afraid to leave the house should seek out mental health. For anyone else taking the time to respond, you may want to consider that this isn't really asking us for help, but opinions. I did take a lot of time to think of what I thought was a helpful reply. /r/HealthAnxiety can also be helpful for people who are negatively impacted by concerns about their health.
I've been trying to think how to reply to this as you haven't had a reply, and a few things irritate me.
First, 'early 20 yr old' people are adults, not 'boys and girls'.
>literally so depressed by this condition that they wont even leave their house
So, please understand that you are here with a group of people who have a wide range of vision issues, but most of us have extremely limited vision, or almost no usable vision at all, or even no vision.
>The best way to describe it is I have healthy eyes, perfect vision, but countless floating objects swirling around my vision depending on the lighting and environment I am in.
This definitely sounds annoying, but you say that you have 20/20 vision. Does the floating impair your vision, and prevent you from seeing? Many of us here have visual disturbance along with poor vision. I'm not trying to make light of your situation, but am trying to understand it.
Does this impact your ability to perform routine tasks? To read? To move around safely? Have you had your eye health checked (you say your eyes are otherwise perfectly healthy so it seems so)
I'm not sure I understand to what extent this is impacting your ability to see, and to what extent your vision is impaired, but the vast majority of people on this sub do leave the house and do have fulfilling lives. I do suggest mental health support seems in order if this is impacting you to that extent. (It does appear that anxiety can lead to this condition)
Good luck.
