FYI for all you VI people who can't read the tiny manuals that come with electronic gadgets. (self.Blind)

In case you didn't know, pretty much every manual for every electronic device is available online. The font will certainly be bigger than the tiny manuals that usually come with these devices, and if that's not enough, you can zoom in with your browser.

I just got around to using an inexpensive Chinese timer I bought over a year ago. The instructions were way too tiny for me. A quick Google search for <brand name> timer manual found it right away.

I have a drawer with all my appliance manuals that I never open, but also a folder with the PDF versions that I check frequently.

This is great advice. I download all the manuals I need so I don't have to go looking for them when I really need them.

Yeah, this is what I do. I throw the manuals out almost immediate and just write down the name of the device in a text document so I can google instructions if I need to.

This is exactly what I do too. Totally blind they don’t do a lick of good for me.

Not ideal if you want to sell it as second hand at some point.

I am not that organized... :)

Now if we can only figure out how to make some of those items themselves accessible LOL. Electronics with tiny screens and menu systems are pretty much a nonstarter for me

Yep most if not all of them are!I am totally blind and can’t read them anyway, so I usually throw them all away but yeah. Usually I don’t read manuals anyway, I just tinker but if I need it it’s a google search away. Or I just look up how to do x with x and google gives me an answer.

I’ve if possible a few times scanned the manuals with ocr but its a waste of time as well.
