Off topic of that, but your title reminded me I better remember to cancel my apple tv+ before my long trial ends. I think i had like 21 free months. lol.

The restriction you talk about only applies to iOS; browsers on MacOS can use whatever engine they wish. In any case I fail to understand how a vulnerability on Apple software has anything to do with blindness in particular, or why it causes you so much rage considering that, from the way you phrased the title, you aren't even personally affected.

Rage? Far from it. I just choose to openly dislike the rotten apple. And if you go back and read the data you will find it is an underlying bit of code that applies across the board. I'm not making it up - I don't have to. As for what it has to do with blindness, this falls under what I could call just general information and because the majority choose to live in the walled garden the need was there to make people aware that they really should update. I've known about the bug for about 2 months. I held off on posting because I had no idea when they'd get around to fixing it. Plus the exploit was useful.

Are you really expecting people to switch platforms because of a vulnerability considering that the alternative platform only offers security updates for 3 years at best?

Can you provide a source for your implication that the vulnerability affects all browsers on MacOS?

Isn't 3 months within the reasonable time frame typically given to fix vulnerabilities?

Quite frankly the only problem I can think of here is Apple's monopolistic behavior on iOS, but that everyone already knows...

Where in any of my posts do you see me suggesting they switch platforms? Their choice keeps me employed.

So what's the purpose of your post?

What was the bug? This isn't a very useful post 🙃

The bug is in the code that handles tasks like setting up a proper container each time you open a browser window. For example you're shopping on Amazon and then you open another browser tab to Facecrook, you do not want your credit card data from Amazon for example to be carried over to the Facecrook tab you just opened alongside your already open Amazon page.
