I had a lighted magnifier down by the cash drawer so I could use it to look at money/things people were handing me if I needed to. The rest, it's surprising how quickly you can commit a lot of that to muscle memory.
You also need surprisingly little vision to swap out parts in a PC once you get the hang of it. I built/repaired several.
At one point, I did get tired of our point of sale software being difficult for me to see and use, so I wrote an app to replace it one weekend. This was years ago so our credit card terminal didn't interface with our point of sale software directly, so it was pretty easy to replace the basic inventory/POS system.
I guess that's one of the benefits of being the owner. I could do whatever I needed to make it work and no one complained.
