I just wanted to say that it’s pretty cool that there is a place like this that is full of more blind people than I have ever met in my life, it makes me feel less alone :)

Welcome, and make yourself comfortable. Feel free to share as little or much info about yourself. Are you totally or partially blind?
Hope you enjoy the forum, and you're right, it's nice to have around. Nice to have a place to talk shit about the sighted folks behind their back, haha (just kidding of course, although some of them can be quite ignorant about the capabilities of blind folks).

Thank you! I have RP and lost my sight over a decade ago. I have some light perception but otherwise am completely blind. I’m a big believer in the idea that being blind doesn’t stop you from doing the things that you want to do, but I have my bad days where it would be nice to talk to people that can relate :)

Rp and light perception? That is exactly what I am dealing with. I recently (april 2021) have gone blind. Um yet to get any type of counseling or new skill sets.
