If you haven't updated yet, don't. They decided to change BitLife over to the same engine as DogLife and CatLife so now it's also totally inaccessible. This is really frustrating, as it's one of the games I liked to play casually, when I only had a few minutes free. Guess I'm not doing that anymore.

Considering that they've listened to exactly none of the accessibility comments they've received in the last few years, I doubt they'll start caring now.
Persistence is only good to a point. It would be a better use of your time to learn to code a simulation game as feature-rich as BitLife but with better accessibility.

Hi, I've been playing the game for some months now. I don't think I had an update because it looks the same to me. I have "forced zooming" activated and that's usually how I play with it. It's not enough though, especially when your eyesight keep getting worse. How has the game changed for you guys?

I'm assuming you don't use voiceover at all, so the phrase "direct touch" won't mean anything to you. Basically, direct touch makes it so that you can interact with apps even with voiceover on, by making the gestures and taps ignore voiceover. This is fine, when there are accessibility features built in. Now, it looks like the game works properly for sighted people but not for those of us that use voiceover. It might as well be a blank screen with random sound effects for us.

I realize that I'm probably one of the people with the most sight left on this sub even though I cannot do most things on my own and am eligible for a white cane. I should be lucky I can still play the game, how hard as it may be, without having to use additional tools or apps. Thank you again for explaining.

I've been lurking on this sub for weeks but never dared really talk because IRL I'm not part of any group or community for blind people and I was afraid of being clumsy. I hope I can learn from you guys and hopefully it will help me for the future. š
