Anyone else noticed this, or know when this happened? (self.Blind)
submitted by DHamlinMusic
So just in the last week or so I have discovered that both Reddit and discord are generating descriptions for images that people post/share in both platforms. It seems to be less consistent or competent than what Facebook has going, but anything is an improvement over my previous experience of neither platform having any sort of automatically generated image descriptions. Has anyone else noticed this, or know when this change occurred?

Haven't seen this at all for images on Reddit, Discord on desktop has support for it if people are actually implementing it themselves on image upload.

Odd, I'm on a pixel 4 running Android 12 and it didn't do this on either discord nor in Reddit until the last week or so that I've noticed, but when I pull up any image in full screen mode on either app it will attempt to read the text off the image at the very least, it doesn't really try to describe the pictures as far as I can tell.

Hmm, don't know about discord, but, are you sure it's not the Chrome's auto-description thing?

Pretty sure it's not, I'm using the app not a browser.
