I'm new and have made a few posts here under the user CaramelToffee12, but I forgot the password to that account this morning and I honestly found the process of resetting it really difficult I got no notification of an email for e-mail verification so I didn't even know to do that, apparently I can't reset my email without it. My screenreader also just didn't like the login screen so I ended up giving up and just making a new account, honestly it's annoying.

I think you’re right, you won’t be able to reset the one you didn’t verify. When you did this newer account, did you receive an email from Reddit with the subject of “New message from u/welcomebot” - check spam too.

I don't think I did. although if you meant for this sub, like the automod, I only just joined so I might not have received it yet. As for a welcome email from reddit, I didn't get one but I made sure to verify my email for this account right away 😅

I don’t post a whole lot myself simply because I’m not reinventing any wheels, just doing my due diligence. I’m a web designer and developer in my career and being an accessibility advocate is just the proper thing to do. Accessibility = inclusivity. :) Feel free to message me any time if you feel inclined. :)

I think that however I specifically had it open, the login ' username and password ' prompt was a pop-up. I'm assuming this because my screenreader wouldn't even read it at first and when it finally did it started reading the text that I assume was behind the pop-up or on other parts of the screen. I ended up just going on my laptop and was able to create the new account that way. I don't know, I think either I did something wrong or my screenreader was just having a moment. That's a really cool job by the way!

Yeah, sometimes it can be if things are not quite accessible.
