Accessible Covid tests? (self.Blind)
submitted by Adventurous_Ad_9824
Those of you who ordered at home Covid tests, and if you have received them, how have you use said tests? For instance, if you’re totally blind, are there accessible ways of determining whether you’re positive or negative?

The only way I have found is to ask someone. In-person, or through Be My Eyes, Aira or Bespecular etc.

The NFB has paired with Aira, they offer free visual interpretation to aid in doing any taskrelated to the Covid tests.

I have no issues in Germany. I had to do a phone monitoring one in Canada and what a disaster. The person couldn't give any clear directions and kept saying turn it turn it turn it!!!!!! I asked her to use clear descriptions and definition ie was 'it" my phone, the test, my hand etc. Turn left, right, clockwise, etc? All she could do was shout as I were the idiot

After 45 minutes she hung up in anger. The next person was really nice and said I don't see why she had issues. And don't let me rant about the cost compared to Germany
