Over on the Discord side, I am not familiar with any general blindness servers that are still thriving. Well, there may be one, but it is a hellhole ... and VIP Lounge, while still around, was quite inactive last time I checked.
However, there are more specialised places that are doing quite well. The Knights of The Braille community, for playing tabletop RPGs, is so active I have to mute it sometimes to have less clutter in my unread messages, haha. There is an Audio Game Dev server, run by Talon the Dragon, which is decently active and should pick up more once the next No Video Jam starts. The servers of the streamers I follow, PG13 and Liam Erven, are also doing well — and that's despite the fact PG13 haven't streamed anything in far too long!
If you need invites to any of those, let me know.
If you'd like to get into social media, there is also a Mastodon instance run by Talon and myself (Mayana), which you can find here:
https://DragonsCave.space
It is not limited to blind people only, nor are all the people on Mastodon on it. But there's quite a few of us, mixed in with the rest of the population. Which is probably for the best, honestly; I've always found blind-only communities to be pretty limiting.

I still want to start one but I don't have anybody to help run it sadly,
