I remember there was a podcast called "Cooking in the dark" that taught all kinds of food. I haven't listened to many of the episodes, but I guess it worth a look.

I think the guy's name is Jim Camble. I use to learn from his podcast on Blind Mice Mart.

Check out the Hadley institute. I saw some on their site yesterday. I haven’t watched any yet, but you might want to give them a look.

This article came out in the LA Times April last year. It mentions some resources specifically for the blind and disabled regarding cooking. Maybe it’ll help.$1

May I ask, what issues are you facing with cooking blind? I'm totally blind myself, and I cook loads and simply go off recipes I find on the internet mainly.

There's nothing really special or different about cooking blind except it takes a bit of practice. I remember for the first good while after going blind it was always a 50 / 50 chance whether dinner was going to end up on plates or be thrown against the wall in frustration, haha.

I use a Pen Friend in conjunction with the QR code stickers to tell my spices apart, and that's really about it. Takes a bit more prep and organization I guess versus cooking sighted, so make sure everything is perfectly laid out and prepped before any heat gets turned on, as scrambling around to find something while food is over cooking in the pan sucks. Then I guess other small things like I can't really pick a frying pan off the burner to shake it or baste a steak or anything, as I won't put it back down in the proper place.

FOr the most part though, cooking blind is the same as cooking sighted. Just one of those things where practice makes perfect. If you're having any specific issues with cooking blind, let us know, and maybe we'll have some tips and tricks for you.
