Arrow keys not working in Word when using voiceover on Mac (self.Blind)
submitted by brisbaneisgreener
While using Word on a Mac the arrow keys do not follow the keystrokes, instead it skips between headers, footnotes and sections within the document.

It is not doing it with voiceover off.

I have tried the F14 button, but it doesn't do anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It is likely that you have QuickNav enabled. Try pressing both the left and right arrow keys at the same time to see if it solves the problem.

Thank you for your reply! We have tried that also, but unfortunately it didn't work.

Try pressing VO+Semicolon to check whether the VO keys are locked. VO means either Control+Option or CapsLock depending on your settings. These keys are expected to be unlocked.

Thank you! It is on one of the computers at TAFE. Logged in today and it is working with the keystrokes.

I very much appreciate all your help.
