Linux question: Monero wallet on Tails? (self.Blind)
submitted by 34Emma
So I'm a habitual Windows user and weirdly annoyed by the mere idea of needing to get used to a different environment. But as there's something I really want to use Tails for, I fiddled with it and got it to work pleasantly well eventually. Except for the Monero client which would just give me a completely empty window.

Is there any tweak or workaround for that? Or can I hope for future updates of Orca and/or the os to maybe fix it? It seems like Tails uses a relatively old version of Orca and I don't want to complain about that because I was already delighted that they thought of implementing it at all, given the potential for safety risks. But maybe I can patch it somehow, even if I need to redo that everytime I restart the system.

I haven't personally used tails, but they might have instructions on how to build from source. If that's the case you can probably upgrade whatever packages you want ahead of time and then make a new image.

Thank you, that does sound like a good idea! Fiddly but maybe doable. If all else fails I'll try that.
