My company works remotely and I help manage a team of sales representatives. One of my new teammates is blind and uses all Apple products with VoiceOver to do his work. I've been trying to help troubleshoot some of our systems that have really poor accessibility features, and I finally thought to ask the community for help.

One big help would be mastering Google Calendar. We use the calendar for all of our internal meetings, as well as booking time with our prospects, and he's also mentioned how much this would help for school.

Does anyone have tips, tricks, articles to read, or videos to watch that might help us use Google Calendar more easily?

$1 looks pretty good. Using schedule view seems like a good tip, and there’s a list of common shortcuts.

I sometimes find Google Calendar a bit fiddly, but especially the web version works fairly well on a computer with e.g. NVDA and Chrome. Better than with Voiceover anyway, though that's a bit of a matter of taste.
Could you ask your colleague what exactly they find challenging? There might be solutions available. It depends a lot on how familiar he is with using his iPhone and/or computer, but in general it should all work out.

I use Google calendar and have it set to schedule view both on the iOS app and pretty sure on my computer. I’m going off of memory for the second one though. It takes a bit to get familiar with the layout, but after that, it’s fine and completely accessible. I am a Jaws screen reader user. I can’t speak to the VoiceOver NVDA or narrator experience, but I can’t imagine it being too much different.
