Anybody here into D and D or other Tabletop RPG’s (self.Blind)

Hey all,
I was wondering if anybody here is into playing dungeons and dragons or other tabletop rpg type games. I was thinking of trying to get a game together with some fellow blind players. If it works out, maybe it could become a weekly game.
I’d be happy to help anyone who needs it to find accessible pdfs for rules or resources. I know this can be new territory for some, so no worries if you’ve never played before or know nothing about it. We’d probably play over either Zoom or Discord.
Drop a reply here if you’re interested and maybe we can make something happen.

I'm also in Australia. I play on Roll20. Can run many games including DnD, cyberpunk, Vampire, Mage. Happy to set up an Aussie VI game if people are interested. Just PM me happy to chat.

Omg you mention 2 of the other games I really want to play - Cyberpunk and VTM. I'm unsure of their accessibility, as well as the accessibility of Roll20. Still, definitely keen!

Well I use Roll20 to hold character sheets, Google for dice rolling and discord for voice, seems to work ok. I also pretty much use cut down rule sets as I like to run player driven stories rather than Rules heavy games. Low combat high dialogue.

You sound like my kind of GM. If you run on a weekend, I maybe able to join you. I’m u.s. eastern time and have a day job, but Saturday mornings are free. I think that’s Friday night for you guys.

Oh neat. For D&D, I use an Excel spreadsheet from Knights of the Braille that works fine, I use Braille rice and Discord for voice/playing. I’ll have to see how well NVDA works with Roll20 though. I like the way you play though, sounds more roleplay-focused and that’s something I want to work on

I am down to game with anybody who’s up to have a good time and tell a good story. I just figured that /r/blind was a good place to start since I’m blind and I know a lot of blind gamers lol.

I’m actually getting really into OSR stuff, dnd classic and b/x and all that. I mostly have played 5E DND but I wanna start playing more classic games.

I play a Homebrew game based mostly on first edition. But it's theater of the mind so we don't need paper which I couldn't really see any way plus I just played by text with my other visually impaired friends. If you want to start roll a d10. We can do character creation and simple games on this platform using voice to text.

Hell yeah, come and join us! The community on that server is amazingly active, you're bound to love it. There's several games already being hosted, and we'd always be happy to have one more.
For my part, I am unsure if I could join, but that is mainly because I am already in one bi-weekly TTRPG campaign (which I will soon temporarily DM for a session or two!), and will join another one in March. But I shall definitely keep an eye on the #Available-quests channel of the Knights of the Braille Discord server, and perhaps, if the time and story seem interesting, I may join you. But if not, it looks like you've got plenty of interest already!

There's discord bots and the very hit or miss roll20 that work for dnd with a screen reader. I'm used to roll20 because that's where I started from, though.

I’m not attached to roll 20, but I could use it if people need or want it.

a sighted friend of mine dragged me in to my first game a fey few months ago so i'm still a newby but i really enjoy it.
