You are an adult. Driving is optimal. Legally i could drive in my state. The state commission for the blind and visually impaired didn’t recommend that I drive, but if I needed to they and my family could investigate a car with steering wheel on the right with extra mirrors. But in the long run I decided it would be best to aim to live somewhere walkable with public transportation.
I’m 52, I got right homogeneous hemianopsia when I was 15. My dad took me driving in parking lot once, just in case I’m a passenger and the driver becomes unable to drive, he thought I should have enough skill to move the car off the road.
Driving is choice, if you don’t want drive figure out how to live without driving.
