Smart Phones: People complain about smart phones but not me -- a blindish dad with RP. You bring me closer to my family, You help me speak, you help me see, your screen shares thoughts dear to me. Voice to text sets my imagination free, restarting my brain, stiring poetry. Thanks for helping m (v.redd.it)

I lost my sight when I was a teen. I'm 40 now and the iPhone and iPad have been a game changer for me. The accessibility features Apple built into their iOS devices help me to be more independent on almost a daily basis.

Phones are absolutely crucial! I have mentored several people who were new to sight loss and in every case they started out hating the fact they couldn't get around their phones like they used to, and ended up loving them as much as I do.

I carry a spare power pack for my phone, and if at all possible a whole spare phone. I've been around the world with a smart phone. Plan things right and it can solve a huge range of problems. Absolutely irreplaceable.

I couldn’t agree more! I still like eloquence on my phone with a computer, but will completely admit the phone is amazing.

I’m quite young at 28, so I grew up with technology, but going from my computer to my computer and phone has been huge.

The YouTube app on the phone is very very accessible, on the Internet it works but sometimes it messes up because Google changes the website from time to time.

Definitely agree with you. The phone is quite good and indisspensable

You should totally come up with a title for this piece and post it over on /r/poetry
