iPod touch alternatives? (self.Blind)
submitted by soundwarrior20
Hi everyone hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. Something I’ve been thinking about for awhile is this. Does anybody know of any good alternatives to the iPod touch that are accessible? I’m looking for something with a large storage capacity that is able to play video and is also currently commercially available.

Your help with this would be most welcome thank you very much everyone :-)

Why not a smartphone or iPad? No other alternatives

I started using my iphone and never looked back. Especially if you have a good data plan it's great as a media player.

"It's an iPod, a phone and an internet communication device."

Say what you will about the man, but Steve Jobs was an incredible public speaker.

Anyway, yeah, I use my phone for multimedia too. I don't need to run my high-end headphones outside, so a dedicated device doesn't make sense.

Why not the iPod Touch? Apple still sells them, and they come in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. $1

My music library is 25GB, my audiobook library is another 25GB or so.... how much space are you needing?

They all come with the same iOS, same Voiceover accessibility, and if using wi-fi can do everything except phone calls (not counting VOIP like facetime/Zoom/skype ....) and most (not all) iPad apps.

I was going to say this. My touch is accessible and uses much less battery than my phone

Most people have just converted to running ipads or just their iphones those have become tremendously more powerful as of today.
