I imagine this thread will be closed soon but anyway: who are you? What organisation are you performing these interviews in the name of? How will the data be used?

And here's me ranting a little: Why the hell are you (and most abled people for that matter) so focused on cures, rather than asking "How could society be improved in ways that would make you feel equal to your sighted peers?" Why is it better to make problems (disabled people) go away than to understand and adapt? Why?
