We get a lot of “How can I. . .?” questions here, here’s an idea (self.Blind)
submitted by Iamheno
This is near & dear to me as I’m finishing my VRT degree next month, but here’s what VRTs do!

$1

EDIT: My intention is to open the eyes of people experiencing vision loss, or their families,to resources. Ie Vision Rehabilitation Therapy, available to work with people with vision loss/blindness.

With the passing of WIOA now is the best time in history for people with disabilities such as blindness to enter into re-enter the workforce! There’s a desperate need for VRTs, but those of us on the front line are standing by to serve!

The neat thing is many of us are blind ourselves so we don’t just teach it we live it!

If I have the patience I probably would think about it I like serving in that way teaching, advocacy community stuff but not sure if I have patience for it type to work with people especially disabled people sometimes. Haha! So yeah. I do like advocacy representation and teaching and reform work especially behind the scenes awareness in general and stuff. Definitely like serving and it’s not about me, it’s about the community. But yeah. So I am going in to assistive tech but vrts are important too.
