I use them, both fixed and portable. The portable one fortunately has buttons, so while I haven't yet experimented with setting a timer or switching programs, it is easy enough to turn it on and then raise or lower the temperature as necessary. It was pretty cheap, as well!

Fixed induction stoves tend to have touch buttons, rather than real one. Since marking those is not possible, you could look into raised stickers (such as the soft round ones commonly put under chair legs or on walls behind doors) and place them beside the buttons. My stove has four tops, so four sets of two buttons for temperature, plus one set for turning it on and a timer. By putting a sticker on the left and right of each set, I am able to find them reasonably well — although I do still press something by accident here and there.

As far as the stovetops themselves go, I am not sure how to label them. Perhaps some dots of heat-resistant paint? But it is also possible to get used to where they are with practice, as well as listening to the slightly different sound the stove makes when something isn't quite heating properly.
