Wear glasses or sunglasses that block UV radiation.

Wear protective glasses when using power tools. \*PROTECTIVE\* means in addition to any regular glasses worn.

Don't run with knives/scissors/sharp sticks.

I think the best phrase is, you only get one pair of eyes!

The basics are same for everyone. Wear eye protection always when working with machinery and power tools. Wear UV glasses/sunglasses around water, snow and sunny days.

You are never too old to start vision therapy to strengthen you lazy eye. A very simple thing to do is wear a patch over your good eye as often as you can.

Most eye doctors know nothing about vision therapy. I know someone in their late 20's early 30's who was "religious" about vision therapy exercises and a significant improvement was gained. Its really tough work but you can make improvements no matter what age you start.

There are a number of vision therapy exercises you need to perform, but the most simple one is patching your good eye, That likely means missing out on reddit, tv, movies, gaming etc which is why most people don't bother starting and don't keep it up.
