( I'm using Google talk to text sorry if some things don't make sense)

I took a little bit of a break had some family things I had to do. And currently looking for a state job I'm finally working with day Vocational Rehabilitation teacher. Next Friday on the 25th she's coming to my house and we're going to work on mock interviews. I've also handed her my resume she says it looks pretty good and she's going to be constantly sending me updates on potential state jobs that fit my skills and experiences so I'm kind of excited hopefully I will be able to find something near where I live. Also going to learn Braille. I'm also going to be taught how to use a computer completely blind I do still have a little bit of a I'm able to see a little bit. But I want to be able to do my job fully in be able to work so they're going to be set me up with someone to teach me how to use a computer completely blind. I also have a eye appointment on the 4th of May but I'm on a waiting list so hopefully something comes up sooner my vision has gotten worse since 4 months ago when I got my new pair of glasses.

This is so exciting!! Your attitude is great, and I love how you're embracing everything. Wonderful job! Best of luck on all the interviewing. Enjoy getting to know people. That's the secret to being relaxed and natural during an interview.

You rock! That's all I have to say.

If you want to get ahead on the braille thing try playing around with braille screen input on your phone, I am using it to type this and it is so much faster and less irritating than vtt.

Edit: Are you on Android? You said you were using Google to write.

Sounds like you have a future ahead of you. I'll just say, don't be afraid of failure but make sure you learn from it, then head on again into the future but this time you will be stronger with what you have learnt.

Yeah, that was my experience with vocrehab in the past. You have to pester them it seems.

Keep working on them or they will stay stagnant keep calling them and following your case and pushing for something. Get involved voc rehab isn’t good that way but in many ways they aren’t that great.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil or grease here.

Fingers crossed for you!

Sounds like you are doing well and working on your goals. Yes being blind and being proficient at assistive technology and learning how to use a computer as a blind person will be really handy and useful and a real asset.

Also that’s good about the resume and it’s great that the person is looking for a state job for you, maybe you’ll find something that you’d like. Also learn those adaptive skills with mobility and independent training so you won’t be stranded if you lose all your vision.
