There’s a very simple way of solving this, a breath test.

I do think the sister sounded a bit whiny but that could just be me not being used to that accent.

They were having to raise their voice because of the loud music.

True.

I doubt it was the shock of her life. I've had people assume I was drunk before although I'm a bit too old to be hanging around in clubs.

The difference for me would be that it wouldn't be another member of my group saying "she's blind," it'd be me talking. I would not be demanding to see people's boss in a whiny tone of voice, either. If the person you're talking to has the authority to throw you out, they also have the authority not to throw you out, so convince them.

But I have rarely had a situation like this escalate like that. I would simply stand there and tell them that in a calm, level and firm tone I'm not intoxicated, I'm blind, and I'm holding on to my friend for guidance not support. That works. I have been around people who got whiny and that does not work. By demanding to see someone's boss you're not telling them anything, you're not giving them any information, you're just threatening to go over their heads, which doesn't help calm them down and make them think.

In short going Karen never works.

Exactly. They were both very whiny and it got them nowhere.

Why not mention the name of the club?
