There are very few issues most of us experience regularly that are because of a lack of technology. The problems are because of a lack of awareness in society. The only technology-related issue I can think of is websites/apps not being accessible — but there's nothing wrong with the technology, it's the human developer on the other end not designing it to be accessible.

Maybe start by reading the handy README in the About section specifically labelled “for sighted people looking to make assistive technology”. Show that you’ve put in the time to do some research, and you’ll get better answers.

Speaking as a visually impaired person, the biggest problem in my daily life is people assuming my problems can be solved with technology. The problem's societal, not technological.
Rule number 1: don't assume I need help. Ask. If I need help, I'll tell you.
Rule number 2: If at any point you come up with an idea and your first thought is "this would be absolutely amazing for visually impaired people!" First, do a search on the sub. Someone's probably beaten you to posting it. Then, see rule number 1.
