It really depends on your doctor. It won't be legally binding, or have any consequences for him if he goes against it, but I know my neuro optho would absolutely write a "don't be a dick" note if I asked. My main neuro would just say it's a personal situation and not appropriate for him to get involved.

That really does suck, sorry to hear about that. No clue on the whole note thing unfortunatly, but maybe someone here will have something to add regarding that.

No, a doctor cannot prescribe housing and I doubt would get involved anyway for liability reasons.
Without getting too far into the details, I do have a few questions:
1. How old are you?
2. if you are completely blind, then have you had training at a rehabilitation center?
3. how far in the process of getting SSDI?
